Oriol Alamany - Every bear matter

With only about fifty specimens, the brown bear population of the Pyrenean mountain range is seriously threatened. Yesterday one pyrenean bear was shot by French hunters and a few weeks ago another one was found dead in unclear circumstances on the Spanish slope. Bears belong to the Pyrenees and have the right to live there in peace.

This is one of the very few existing photographs of a bear with his cubs in those mountains not taken with an automatic camera-trap, Vall d’Aran, June 2016.
