Sepp Hackhofer - Dog´s-tooth Violet
The Dog´s-tooth Violet (Erythronium dens-canis) is an early spring flower and belongs to the family of the Lily´s (Liliaceae). It´s typical habitat is the beech forest. It Comes out before the beech is getting it´s leaves, when the light still reaches the forest floor. I have to drive for a few hours to get to places where I can find it, but from time to time I love to explore different new areas. And I Always love to come back. It becomes sort of a ritual.
