Theo Bosboom - Fresh green

Photographing the fresh green leaves of beech and oak trees in spring is a matter of timing: only during a couple of days each year you will find the right amount of leaves with a fresh green colour on the one hand, while on the other hand the deck of leaves is not so dense yet that you can not see the bark of the trees and the sky anymore. On one of these days I headed out to the Reichswald in Germany, close to the Dutch border. I photographed through a branche with fresh leaves that were very close to my lens and I overexposed a little bit, to give an impressionistic and fresh touch to the image.
