Theo Bosboom - Night in the forest

What a great experience it is to walk around in a primeval forest in a pitch dark moonless night. I had gone to the Rauriser Urwald in the Hohe Tauern in Austria in the evening, so I could find a good location for night photography. I have chosen these trees because the lichens in the branches show that the trees are old and they make for a nice silhouette. About one hour after sunset I took this picture, there was still a little bit of light. Shortly after, everything was black and I had to use my headlight to come back to the car.
