Grzegorz Lesniewski - Under the Bieszczady sky

“Under the Carpathian sky”
I lift my eyes and get stopped in my tracks. The sky appears to be within my reach. I have never seen that many stars in the night sky. There are millions of them. But is this real or only an illusion? Could it be just some frosty air crystallizing and sparkling in front of my eyes and creating this unearthly picture? From behind the trees, the Milky Way dazzles me with colors fluctuating from orange to red. Constellations lure me with their blazing lights. Suddenly falling meteors, one after another illuminate the firmament. They look like fiery ribbons flying across the sky.

Location: the Bieszczady Mountain, Eastern Carpathians, Poland
