The night has been freezing cold and the bog is covered with hoarfrost. The male black grouses had arrived on their lek hours before when it still was completely dark, only their flapping wings and strange calls reveiled their presence. Now they take a little rest from their fights, and soon, when the sun is rising higher, they will disappear in the forest…
