Grzegorz Lesniewski - Tiger of European Grasslands

Adult male is taking a sunbath on is alert post. Hamster, although two hundred times smaller, not only by its stunning fur resembles a tiger. Suddenly ambushed, it attacks its enemy, no matter if it is a fox or man. This brave rodent is equally endangered as a tiger, but doesn’t arouse an interest of millions. As long as natural grasslands of south-eastern Europe are taken over by farmland, hamsters will strive on the verge of extinction.

Location: Lublin Highland, eastern Poland
