Werner Bollmann - Delicate Canopy

 

Still the small leaves of the beeches allow the light to reach the forest floor, where spring is in full bloom: windflowers, fumeworts, lesser celandines and violets carpet the ground. In only a few weeks the beech forest will turn into a shady cathedral and the spring flowers will retreat into the ground, waiting for the next spring…
