Theo Bosboom - Landmannalaugar in winter

The interior of Iceland, including the Fjallabak nature reserve and the Landmannalaugar valley, is not accessible in winter, unless you make use of a so called super jeep. Being curious about how winter looks in the highlands of Iceland, I decided together with a friend to arrange a transfer by super jeep to Landmannalaugar and stay there 5 nights for photography. There was a lot of snow, covering large parts of the landscape. This lava field is situated not far from the hut at Landmannalaugar. I was very much attracted by the colours of the moss, it made for a nice contrast in the otherwise almost black and white landscape.
