Theo Bosboom - Hey you!

I was taking extreme close ups of a beautiful Astrantia flower in the Austrian Alps near Bürserberg, when to my surprise I saw something moving in the frame. When I slowly shifted the focus ring, this little fellow (I guess a springtail) came into sight. It seemed to be very interested in what I was doing. Picture is taken with the Canon MP-E 65 macro lens, which allows magnification up to 5 times life size.

A wonderful photo ... beautiful ... behind a flower there is always an insect waiting for us ... an unexpected meeting ... a proof that that we are not alone on this planet
