Theo Bosboom - Spider webs in tall grass

When shooting landscapes at one of my favourite nature areas in the Netherlands – the Hatertse Vennen – my eyes were drawn to all the spiderwebs in the grass. I photographed them with backlight, which gave a nice graphical impression. Unfortunately this area will be partly damaged and totally changed the coming months, due to ‘nature maintenance work’. I hope in the long run it will trun out good, but at the moment I am sceptical. And it is a sad thought that we need maintenance by humans to keep nature interesting in the Netherlands.
