Werner Bollmann - Diamonds And Pearls

Sometimes it helps to be bored. Actually I was waiting for a capercaillie to fly from one tree to another, but nothing happened. The bird was just sitting there fast asleep. As time went by – I was really freezing in the meantime – I recognized a group of frozen birches nearby. I made some images, always keeping the capercaillie in view, but the effect of a single exposure wasn’t strong enough in my opinion. So I tried a double exposure, which worked out the beauty of the sun-drenched frozen branches much better…

Like an haiku; simple, powerful and overwhelmingly beautiful!

Really well done double exposure, perfect in my opinion. Magic white and blue.
