Sandra Bartocha - Frozen Beauty

One last winter image from me to wave the winter a final goodbye …
During the cold snowless days of the past weeks I decided to travel to the Baltic Sea coast in order to capture some icy landscapes. The structures of the waterfall at the Kieler Bach looked amazing and the first red clouds at the horizon reflected their light on the white chalk cliffs.
Winter is usually the time of the great landslides as the melting water blows up the porous chalk.

Wow! What a great photo! The predawn colors really spice of the colors.

Sandra, this is absolutely gorgeous! I like the colors, the different shapes and how the tree in the upper left side somehow gives a "visual sea level" (cfr. G. Rowell) to an otherwise surreal situation. Nice, nice, nice!

A good example how to get colours into this black/white snow and ice world.
