Roy Mangersnes - Evening Hedgehog

As the sun just set behind the trees a nervous Hedgehog emerged on the path in front of me. I went directly to the ground to get a low angle view. I managed to get just a few frames before my spiny friend disappeared into the undergrowth of the forest. It was only later I realized the little animal had a runny nose 🙂

Nice backlit scene! You can even see that the runny nose is glowing red.

We had one big hedgehog living in the center of Tallinn near my previous apartment house. Every night for at least 2 years (or maybe 3) during the summer the guy (or gal) crossed the street in the evening to go to bushes on the other side for food. Some 2 weeks ago he came to the door of my apartment house while I was smoking there. Few days later he was hit by a car 10 meters from my door. It was a darn sad sight.
