Oriol Alamany - White Terns in warm light

On my long trip to Australia this past autumn I was for eight days on the small volcanic island of Lord Howe (about 10 x 2 km), photographing their incredible natural wealth. After a very cloudy day, when coming back to the apartment to prepare dinner, a warm ray of sun shone for a minute on the big trees where the White Terns (Gygis alba) meet for sleeping. I barely had time to put the 500 mm telephoto lens on the tripod and make a few shots before the light was gone. It was a magical moment.
