Roy Mangersnes - nightflight
Often I find myself working with black and white in mind when shooting in the Arctic. The shapes and details become so clear and with B/W it pops out really nicely. This shot was taken during the night and the light was really low. Standing on the back of the vessel moving across the Arctic ocean I still went for a rather slow shutter to maintain debt, but I knew the Fulmar would be unsharp. This didn't really bother me as it portrays a certain movement in the subject and highlights the mood. It seems I always come back to this image when I'm presenting from the Arctic. It is still growing on me, and I hope you like it to?
