Werner Bollmann - Little Towers
In late spring you can find the fertile sprouts of the Meadow Horsetail along roadsides and forest edges everywhere in Scandinavia. Actually I tried to make a picture of several sporangia, but the plants were growing at a slope and it was impossible to get them all in focus. While focussing back and forth my eye got suddenly caught on the middle part of the sprouts: I was fascinated by the structures which reminds me of little minarets.
