Werner Bollmann - Quite a few
It's a quite exciting experience to watch a procession of termites in the tropical rainforests of Borneo. Up to half a million individuals from a colony can be involved in a single foraging expedition. Worker and soldier termites march in column formation across the forest floor up to a canopy tree where they collect plant material which they carry back to their subterrestrial nest. An apparently never-ending stream of tiny insects, which can even be heard: A high rustle fills the air, accentuated by a single bird call or the shout of a monkey - jungle at it's best.
