Dieter Damschen - Cranes
Unfortunately I did not make a single picture during the last two month, so I have to show an old one. In early March this year about 300 cranes had their roost just a few hundred meters from my home. About two weeks they stayed on a flooded meadow at night. This picture shows three of them sleeping at dawn. At this night the temperatures went to -13 degrees Celsius. So I was glad about my warm sleeping back, instead of standing the whole night in the water/ice like the cranes had to.
