Theo Bosboom - Bacterial film
In a small nature area not far from my home (De Bruuk near Groesbeek, Holland) I discovered a layer of baceteria (bacterial film) on the surface of a small water pool. Although it looks chemical, it is a very natural phenomenon. I was fascinated by the beautiful colours and structures and walked around it several times to find a good angle for a picture. I used a polar filter to reduce the reflections and to emphasize the blue tones.
