Sven Zacek - Ice for one night

Sven Zacek - Ice for one night

The ice melting process can be very fast if a strong wind is in the equation. I spotted the possibility for such a photo on the previous night, while taking photos with a telephoto lens and observing the behaviour of eider ducks. The next day I put out my tripod with a remote release. After a few hours I got this photo and that was it, because after that the nice ice patterns had melted. So if you get an idea, act fast!
