Roy Mangersnes - Great Grey Owl
There is something about owls - their face. When it looks at you it is like they are looking right through you. This particular bird came in really close, but I also wanted to make an image showing the habitat of this forest dweller. I used a shorter lens to frame the bird against the dark forest, with only remains of snow still on the branches. After a while the bird gave me the look from the dark forest, and it was like he was looking right through me.
