Alex Mustard - Jurassic Fish

A longnose gar (Lepisosteus osseus) always looks prehistoric to me and they are a more primitive lineage of fish known as the ray-finned fish. I guess you could call them living fossils. They are impressive predators, however, this one is hovering over a bed of plants in Rainbow River, beneath trees. Florida, USA.
