Alex Mustard - Splendid Isolation
A moon jellyfish stands out in a world of golden jellies. This is a marine lake – a body of seawater completely enclosed within an island. Isolated without predators, stingless golden jellyfish thrive, their bodies are golden because they are packed with symbiotic algae. They jellyfish just needs to sunbathe to get its food – the sun powers the algae and the jellyfish absorbs their excess production.
