Alex Mustard - Cats’ Whiskers
A tightly packed school of young striped catfish (Plotosus lineatus) group together for their protection. The idea for this shot is a reasonably obvious one. The challenge is to get the fish to behave. After many years of trying, I finally get the formation I was after. Although like most photographers when I next see this species I will still try and repeat it – and will be just as frustrated again!
