Sepp Hackhofer - Under a red sky
It´s just before Christmas, the mountain I am walking up this time of the year in times of new media has become a hotspot, as for just a few days one can see the sun rising in between the famous “Drei Zinnen” (Three Peaks of Lavaredo) from here, but I am more interested in what is happening on the opposite side. Not long before the sun is coming up the sky shines in a magical orange red. It is fascinating to see the contrast between the cold, snow covered mountains and the warm red of heaven (“Himml”), as we call the sky in our dialect.

Another picture that takes your breathe away .... so beautiful! The brightness of the mountains in contrast to the "warm", soft sky. The white clouds that give the picture more depth... Nice composition. I'm glad you chose this view to photograph, and not the classic Drei Zinnen! (or did you photograph them as well?)
