Alex Mustard - 1000 Years Old

A coral scientist told us yesterday that this cabbage coral had been growing in this spot for 1000 years as it grows just 5mm per year. So today I was keen to photograph it. Corals around the world are having a tough time, particularly from global warming, which they are very sensitive to. Although not the most active subject on our time scales, I felt privileged to be in the company of this picture perfect animal.
