Sepp Hackhofer - Wild Water
After a long cold winter, with lots of snow up in the mountains, melting is in progress. Not an easy job for the dipper (cinclus cinclus) to feed the chicks while the water is rising every day. It is amazing how the bird is able to find food, even in dirty water, where the situation is changing continuesly. When the young dippers fledge, the are very scared of the water and have to learn slowly to get in and dive. One good thing about nature photography; it is like a endless story, with new chapters every time.
