
Alex Mustard - Red Eye
Detail of the eye of an appropriately named crescent-tail bigeye fish (Priacanthus hamrur). The super rich red colour in this image comes because it was shot (17 years ago) on Velvia film. This picture really jumped out to me because these days we tend to process images with less punchy contrast and less saturated colour. Funny how technology drives tastes.
