Roy Mangersnes - Return of light

After several weeks of Polar Night, when the sun is too far below the horizon to even send a weak glow onto the southern sky, light is now slowly returning to the Arctic archipelago of Svalbard. It will still be a couple of weeks before the east coast is hit by the first sunbeams, but already blue light is dominating the winter days. This image was captured at 11:30, just two days ago.
