Markus Varesvuo - Such a perfect little thing

In the spring and summer, Blue Tits (Parus caeruleus) eat mostly insects. By eating coccids and aphids, they are a formidable ally to all gardeners, although in their eagerness to find insects, they can do some damage to the young buds of trees.

An important source of food in the winter is seeds, and peanuts when on offer at garden feeders.

In the autum they occasionally feed on berries, such as rowanberries.
