Theo Bosboom - North sea storm

One way to experience the feeling of wilderness in a densely populated country like the Netherlands, is going to the beach when it storms. The small island Schiermonnikoog is a perfect location to experience the power of the wind, because it has the broadest beach of Europe and is very exposed. In December 2014 I experienced a couple of days with storm, a challenge for my gear but a feast for my soul and for my eyes. This is one of the pictures I took, impressive waves at the normally pretty calm North Sea.
