Hans Strand - Ice Cosmos

While walking on the ice I found an area with thousands of air bubbles. I used a macro lens and focused on 4 different depths in the ice. Afterwards I blended the focusings by using Helicon Focus software. This gave me an image with otherwise impossible depth of field. For me the image gives me associations to space and the bubbles are like planets contrasting against a black cosmos.

This is really beautiful and the depth of field gives a unbelievable sense of endlessness.
