Zoltán Gergely Nagy - Virgin

Dead wood, trees with different ages and no human intervention usually means healthy forest and high biodiversity. These primary forests here in Europe must surely be one of the great natural assets of Romania.

Although this forest is specially protected by the Romanian Academy, worryingly most of the virgin forests of the country lie outside of national parks and they are either being logged or are under the threat of logging. Trying to portray these wilderness areas has been a very exciting but also urgent challenge.
