Roy Mangersnes - Arctic spring

In just a couple of days I will be traveling back north to my Arctic home, Svalbard. I arrive just in time for spring, when the snow still covers the mountains, but the first sedges are starting to turn green and the birds are courting in the partly frozen ponds. The Arctic Terns will not arrive until another week I assume, but we do see them earlier every year, so maybe they will beat me to it this time?
