Grzegorz Lesniewski - Cycle of life

Lonely lynx finish the feast in the heart of the Carpathian forest. The lynx has visited wolve’s table for many days successively, risking an attack of carrion owners. For more than a week, I have followed the fate of the red deer killed by the wolves at the bottom of the Bieszczady’s creek. The tragedy of one animal, became the chance for survival for many other species, like wolf, lynx, red fox, wild cat, pine martin, wood mouse, common buzzard, ural owl, raven and jay. Everything has its reason in the natural world. Nature, supposedly cruel, creates a neat net of links between creatures living in the continuous quest for life and death. The cycle of life completes.

Location: Bieszczady Mountain, Eastern Carpathians, Poland
