Bruno D'Amicis - African Haiku
About one year ago, I had the chance to visit the stunning and extremely diverse area of Lake Tana in Ethiopia. I was on assignment for the German NGO “NABU” which carries out a conservation project in the region and my main focus was biodiversity and wetlands habitats.
One a peaceful evening, sitting at the rim of a pond I was watching the antics of this little bee-eater (Merops pusillus) as it flew to catch insects and going back to perch on Nile grass. What a marvelous design and color juxtaposition!
