Roy Mangersnes - The beginning
As a trained biologist I have always had a certain attraction towards Galapagos, the cradle of evolutionary theory. This year I was on my second visit and I was very aware of what I wanted to portray in my images. Looking for the stories I found myself working a lot with shorter lenses, bringing in the stunning landscapes of this archipelago. Galapagos is a rather young group of islands, but as a visitor you still get the feeling of walking with dinosaurs at times. Especially when you approach the large Marine Iguanas resting in tidal pool among the lava rocks.
