Roy Mangersnes - King Eider

The King Eider spends most of the year in coastal marine ecosystems at high latitudes, and migrate to the Arctic tundra to breed. During winter they gather in huge flocks in the fjords of Northern Norway. On previous occasions I seen them breeding in Arctic Alaska and on Svalbard, but my best encounters have been in Finnmark, northern Norway. A true Arctic Jewel.
