Werner Bollmann - Tough Little Guy
Only very few songbirds can manage to stand the hard wintery conditions of the far North. The Willow Tit is one of them. In small flocks, often accompanied by Siberian Tits, these tiny birds range the woods always in search of new food sources. To escape the merciless cold they regularly gather in the inner parts of snow-covered spruces. The thick layers of snow on the branches have the same function as an igloo, isolating against the cold outside.
