Bruno D'Amicis - When it gets really cold
As this winter 2014 doesn’t start yet, with temperatures almost always well above 5° and no snow, I’d like to post an image from February 2012, the coldest I have ever experienced. On this day, the thermometer was showing -20°C and after an heavy snowfall, red deer chose to move along a stream in the heart of the Abruzzo National Park rather than having to cross the thick, white blanket. As the sun rose and colored pink the Mount Marsicano, I knew I was lucky to witness such unusual situation for Central Italy.
