Werner Bollmann - Ruska


Ruska – that’s the time of the year when birches, rowan trees and aspens are tinting Lapland in gold, red and yellow.
It was a very foggy morning at the Kitka River in northern Finland, where I wanted to take pictures of this colourful phenomenon. Unfortunately it took hours until the dense fog finally began to dispel, and I was already a little bit disappointed, because I thought the sun would be too bright at that time of the day. But then there was this little timeframe of roughly 15 minutes when the combination of fog and backlight was just perfect. Autumn, I love you…

    i love Finland and this image! one of the best things about it - we can enjoy this view for whole life, while in reality it only last for 15 minutes :)
