Bruno D'Amicis - Summer roe deer
Elusive and solitary roe deer get very bold and active on these days of early summer, their mating period. On an evening walk in a beechwood of the Abruzzo National Park, I could glimpse this big buck as it cautiously moved in the lush meadow at the forest rim. I could frame it through the trees and took a few pictures. Of course, the shutter noise of the camera (plus my presence) didn’t get unnoticed to its super acute senses.
