Oriol Alamany - The scarce Huemul
The Huemul or South Andean Deer (Hippocamelus bisulcus) is a very scarce and charming deer living in Torres del Paine National Park. It’s difficult to find but then it’s very tame. That was the reason it was easily killed by hunters until near extintion. On a several days trip to this park including a trek into the mountains I found them two times, one in the open and I choose to make a portrait with the Cuernos del Paine in the background.
