Roy Mangersnes - Arctic Fox
I just returned from a quick trip to Svalbard for a few days of winter photography. The first morning I got up and out at 4 o´clock to look for Arctic Foxes. I knew the place from before and my hopes were high. After searching the area with binoculars I spotted to animals in hot pursuit. Spring was in the air and the hormones were flowing. I worked with the animals for a couple of hours and the curious critters showed me their best sides. In this images I managed to capture the cold blues of the snow in contrast with the “warming” spring sunrise.

Thank you for these kind comments. I am happy to hear you like the image. This is one of my favorite animals in the Arctic, but it was the first time I was able to work with them in winter.
Lauri; here is a short trip report with some more images :-) http://www.naturfokus.com/2013/04/17/svalbard-winter-2013/
