Zoltán Gergely Nagy - Snake Charmer

Ants investigating a slow moving smooth snake that has probably just recently emerged from its winter hibernation.

This scene greeted me last spring in the forests near my home town, and with snow melting fast, the forests will soon be coming back to life again!

Dear Zoltan, this is a great and refreshing image of a rarely seen and often overlooked subject. I love the light and the tones of the image that perfectly blend the snake in its surroundings. Then, the ant is a great reward for your patience. Bravo!

    Thank you so much!

The snake was so well camouflaged that if it wasn't for the crunching sound of the leaves as it emerged, I would have probably missed him completely. All the best!
