Roy Mangersnes - Arctic jewel

 

Every winter hundreds, perhaps thousands of King Eiders migrate from the Russian Arctic to the northern Norwegian coast. A couple of years ago I was there to see them off. I spent almost an hour crawling down the icy slopes until I got my angle of choice. Close and personal with the Arctic jewel.
