Roy Mangersnes - Polar Bear

On my winter trip to Spitsbergen Svalbard I was asked by a friend to bring back a picture of the Von Post Glacier. It is one of the most beautiful glaciers on Svalbard and he and his wife had a special connection with this place. I asked him if he wanted a Polar Bear in front of it and he laughed. This picture now decorates his living room.

This is a Wild Wonders of Europe image by Ole Jorgen Liodden, so I'm very surprised to find it here attributed to Roy Mangersnes. Please explain!

Wow. It's a blessing to see these amazing animals live ... not to mention how lucky you must be to photograph them. :)
Gorgeous blue colours, perfect composition. I love each detail in this photo. Excellent work.

This is pretty common to have a (very good) friend with you and the first one to show the pic gets all the credits... Good one, Roy, and good topic that was taken up.

Roy is right! We were travelling together on this photo expedition to Svalbard in Marcg 2009. We didn't stand on the same spot (50-100) away from each orher, but some of the images turned out quite similar...
