Theo Bosboom - Trees and lily pads

When I am on a hiking tour there is not always time for photography, especially when I am with other people. But very often I do see interesting things, especially when I am in a nice nature area or in the mountains. My solution is to bring a good compact camera (I own the Canon g12, but there are others as well). On a hike through Tresticklan national park in Sweden I discovered these lily pads in a small lake and also noticed the dark reflections of the trees behind it. I took a 3 minutes break, found a composition, took the shot (it just started raining) and walked on happily. I still prefer to take my time and to use a tripod, but it is better than nothing.

Location: Tresticklan, Sweden

great image! i love the upside-down feel given by reflection ... it brings to my mind that the Earth is thick and the sky is thin...
and it also shows that great images are seen and taken by great photographers and not great cameras :)

A piece of dream, full small stories that together bounded make a wonder of image!
