Bruno D'Amicis - Tree shadows

Beech means tree in the Apennines and beech woods are the most characteristic feature of this mountain range. If I think of winter in a beech wood, my thoughts don’t go to frost or mist. Instead I think of the sun moving behind the trees, or of the perfectly still atmosphere interrupted every now and then by the call of a Marsh tit or by some snow falling from the highest branches, while the watercolor-like long tree shadows paint the snow blue.

A beautiful abstract that captures the soul of the trees gently touching the mantle of snow. A dream moment!
